I exist! I exist and I experience unimaginable bliss! I observe improvement in all directions. I can see how our thirst for truth, goodness, beauty and love is not in vain! We are heading somewhere! It's been my childhood dream to develop a cure for aging and morphological freedom

I also like how you don't fear the more technical aspects of the mathematical and scientific which is like the rudder of a sailboat and without which consciousness just gets so easily tossed about

Don't you think those two would make things much easier for us?

I used to be very good at maths in high school

but i forgot it all after several years of no use

Dropped out from a maths bachelor last year, stupid unprepared over-confident me

Biophysics is absolutely wonderful. Pay attention to engineering circuits theory, information theory, and especially the structure of the crystal lattice and how group theory works there. Group theory is fundamental in both qm and computer science and biophysics. Best book on the subject is by the great Herman Weyl . . . reading your comments as I write, I love metaphyscial anarchy as a concept

I think I'm very intelligent. It's hard to assess it in relation to the average scientist but I really think I have great potential. And I'm completely obsessed about it.

funny what you mention about programming your own brain, I once met Timothy Leary when I was a prof at U of Wisconsin and he came to give a talk. A dinner later was at a restaurant and others wouldn't show up because they didn't want to be associated with him. He was old but still brilliant, and he said that if he had time that's what he'd want to do! He asked me, hey, Dan, have you ever met anyone with more RPM? And I asked, what's that? He said, Revelations Per Minute. There's a term for you, my friend, who seems to have quite a few RPMs!

in answer to your question yes, I'm looking out my study this moment at the wonderful falling autumn leaes, smiling, in rapture

but back then i had no idea at how fast everything would change

when i was 12 i dreamt of being a genetic enginner

im a born transhumanist basically

but i suffered from extremely bad self esteem and pefectionism

and had no discipline and would give up as soon as i failed

i was constantly trying to estimate the cost benefit ratios

trying to figure out how likely i was to attain a given reward in relation to the effort involved
